Traditions of shared making music are written down into the Silesian landscape for generations, constituting the indissoluble element of the musical culture of the region. Of tradition, which so meticulously cultivated, was able to this day to survive the numerous maelstroms of war and not always political transformations kind to the culture and the art. 

In Silesia particularly two kinds of bands developed: choirs or singing teams and brass bands. In spite of many problems, of insufficient funds for activity stipulated in the Articles of Association, of house problems and above all of departures of musicians “ behind bread ” - decimating teams in the last period of time, we can observe the Renaissance of this form of range of cultural activities and coming into existence of new formations. In the Opole region an Orchestra of the Opole Technical University is one of newly created teams. 

Przemysław Ślusarczyk (composer, conductor, manager of the culture, employee of the Department of the Promotion OTU) is an originator of the project and an author of the orchestra. The Idea for forming such a team was conceived in the first days of January of 2006. A performance of a brass band of the Team of Electric Schools was direct impulse to act in Opole; led also by the conductor, during the ceremonial commencement in the Department of Electronics, Automation and Computer Science at the invitation of his Dean.

The first preparations started up to the end of January of 2006. After introducing him to the Magnificence of the project, the development plan was announced the formal recruitment to the orchestra, soon was begun regular attempts. The group of students of the Opole Technical University strengthened against the Orchestra in Opole introduced the Team of Electric Schools Group to the audience in large numbers arrived above concert 4.th May 2006 during the Holiday of the Opole Technical University which was held in II Campus at the Prószkowska street. It is possible to recognize this performance as the debut of the team. 

The orchestra is acting on laws of the student circle of the Opole Technical University. They are partner teams brass band of the Team of Electric Schools Group in Opole and Jemielnicka Brass Band. 

The team in the October of 2007 had staying in Gdynia at the invitation of the Rector of the Naval Academy giving a concert in Gdynia repeatedly with the great popularity. In A pril the team played 2008 in the largest Club "Studio" at the concert "7.th Birthday" of Formal AGH Orchestra in Cracow at the invitation of the orchestra and authorities of the college, in January 2010 "New Year Concert" for inviting the Rector of the Silesian Technical University in Gliwice. In 2010 the orchestra won the II award in the XVIII Review of Orchestras of the German Minority - Leśnica 2010 in Lichynia.

In season 2010/2011 the Orchestra had 5.th summer of artistic activity.
